Ipad mini review.

The 2 boxes on top of each other.

Back in October apple and the interwebs were filled with rumors and lies and worse slander lol..  Amazingly though after a few days of that Apple released new on the new Ipad mini. I myself didnt think much of the new product I just thought that this is apple they usually do things like that I am sad to say that it has become the norm for them. Until last week when I so graciously received a review model of the Ipad mini from Apple.

The mini sitting pretty on top of a Ipad 2.
Them back to back. Or rather front to front.

Right of the back let me tell you that the Ipad mini is a Ipad 2 just smaller they cut off some of the border and just made it all screen much like the new Iphone it fits comfortably in your hand and you can use one hand to take care of everything. I personally wouldnt only because I hate the thought of it falling out of my hand.

There really isnt anything new about the Ipad mini, really it is just a smaller take on the ipad 3 for those who havent adopted to the Ipad yet it is great for those who are part of the Kindle only crowd. The newest thing about the ipad mini is that like the iphone 5 it boasts the new lightning adapter.

All in all when everything is said and done the Ipad mini is great if you are a late adopter of the Ipad brand and wish to go for something more familiar to the kindle heck even if you recently just adopted the ipad 3 this would be a great take.

PSA: if you bought your Ipad in the last 30 days of the Ipad mini and Ipad 4 coming out Apple will gladly take a return and you can buy up..

Again thank you to Apple for the review model of the Ipad mini 32gb.

Stay tuned for our review of Halo 4 and it less scifi counter part Black ops 2. Also we have the Windows Surface tablet RT and its 2 Keyboards.

Let the holiday of gaming begin.

Every year the big 3 release games in November that will make everyone go bat crazy during the holiday season and make the occasional soccer mom kill another person on black friday..

The first game to be reviewed for the big holiday season is Assassin's Creed 3. The Assassin's Creed franchise started in fall 2008 since then it has had several sequels and multiple spin offs which have come out every year around the holidays. Usually they are hit or miss but for me they are always hits. The story is great the graphics are awesome and you usually lose a couple of hours without noticing.

This year Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed 3 third installment of Desmonds story and the start of Connor's story as you may or may not know he is the newest assassin that you will get to play as in the franchise.

The game takes place during the American Revolution it also has some missions before the actual war starts. The game starts with you in an opera house not yet playing as Connor in true Assassin's Creed style. You venture the opera house doing the normal things that the assassins do free running climbing and then killing an escaping. Shortly after you are put on a boat headed for Boston.

The controls are as smooth as ever and they are again in the same fashion as the first. Smooth never taxing and never confusing if you have played the other games you will know how to play and control this game.

The graphics are as great as ever there are small places where the graphics show hiccups but I think that is because they want to show you, you are in the animus. The story is as good as ever I dont want to spoil anything because I dont want to ruin anything for my readers. All in all this is a great game it will give you hours on top of hours of play time it isnt a bad rental ether if you dont have the time.

Stay tuned for our Review of Halo 4 and a review of the multiplayer aspect of Assassin's Creed 3.

Metal Gear Rising Revengence Demo Review.

Back in 1999 when Zone of the Enders was released one of the big selling points for the game was that Konami included a Demo for Metal Gear Solid 2. Fast forward 12 years and with the release of the Z.O.E Hd collection comes a new demo for a new Metal Gear game.

The demo of Metal Gear Rising starts out with a small tutorial if you choose to play it. After the 5 min tutorial you get a small prologue and some great cinematics shortly after you are on an Island and you are ambushed by some invisible cyborgs.

The Graphics on this demo are amazing much like any metal gear game. The are very immpressive even though it is just a demo. The controls a fairly simple X for a hard attack and y for a wide attack. If you would like to use the free blade mode you just hold down the left trigger.

The demo itself is pretty long and ends with an boss fight all in all this demo is pretty good and if it is a taste of what is too come i am so looking forward to the game. Metal Gear Rising is set to be released in early 2013..

Zone of the Enders HD Collection Review.

Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast on Monday afternoon and my god did it hit NYC hard. One of the things that it did not hit was the release date of the Zone of the Enders HD collection.

Zone of the Enders is a mech game released by Konami back when the PS2 came out the game was  Kojima's first take on the mech franchise. The game was a big deal because it also came with a demo of Metal Gear Solid 2. Two years later Zone of the Enders 2 a sequel hit the game was even a bigger hit then the first.

Fast forward 9 years and here we are Zone of the Enders HD Collection.  In the last couple of years the HD collection has been a great way for those who didnt get to play certain games and their sequels to play them.

Zone of the Enders HD collection is a great addition to all of the other HD collections already on the market. Personally these games were a big deal to me as a child and I am ecstatic to be able to play them in the current generation of gaming. In the collection you get both Zone of the Enders and its 2003 sequel. Along with the games much like the first Zone of the Enders you get a demo for an upan coming Metal Gear game.
Both games on one disc. Much like any and all current HD collections.

Both games are both put on one disc as seen in the picture above the Metal Gear Rising Demo is also featured on its own disc and it is not a download code like other games have had cough cough God of War HD collection.
The Metal Gear Rising Demo. Like the Metal Gear Solid 2 Demo it is bundled with the Z.O.E games.

Graphics wise the games look amazing they are both up to par with all the current gen frame rates and such. Both these games are visually stunning and give jaw dropping visuals. I think that is one of the reason that they were such big hits not to mention that the stories were also awesome.

The controls for the Xbox 360 version are some what iffy at first and they dont have a steep learning curve but the you will know that the curve is there. If anything though it doesnt really take away from the awesomeness of the game.

The Metal Gear Rising Demo stay tuned for a review of the Demo in the next day or so.

All in all the Z.O.E Hd collection is totally worth the $40 it is a great take on a classic and it will give a chance to the many that may not have gotten to play the games.

Tamashi Ultra Act Gridman Aka Servo Review.

Back in the 90's during the age of Power Rangers and VR Troopers and Masked Rider there was another show its was called Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad.

The show followed 4 teens and their lives defending cyberspace from the evil Malcolm Fink and the creations brought to life thanks to the evil Kilokahn. The show lasted about 53 episodes here in America but I am not sure how long it lasted in Japan. Fast forward nearly 20 years and Tamashi is finally giving us a Servo figure worthy of praise. Dont get me wrong the figures from the show that I had as a child were awesome but most were non poseable megazords that had so sign of articulation.

The figure comes in the normal Tamashi packaging a square box with a window view of the figure along with art of the character on the back and the way you can pose him on it too.  Thie figure has several points of articulation and is very poseable the details are extraordinary on this figure it even has a hole in his back so that those with an extra Tamashi stand can use one to display him.

The Servo Packaging. It has a Clear window to see the figure and the accessories that he comes accompanied with.

Servo holding his Sword and Shield.
Along with the figure you get a ton of accessories well not a ton but enough that you can pretty much put Servo in any action pose you may want. Servo comes with a Sword and Shield he also comes with multiple hands an energy blast that you can actually put into his arm an a sword and shield combo that he used in the show. The only thing that I am sad to say that Servo doesnt come with is a Tamashi stand which kinda sucks but all in all the figure is awesome.

The many accessories that come with Servo. His sword and shield combo, Energy blast and his several arms.

He is super poseable and he is clearly made to be played with I have mine on display but at the same time if I ever wanted to play with him I could. All in all the figure is a great buy and a welcome Tamashi addition to anyone collection and even if not having a Tamashi stand is a problem for you you can pick one up on Amazon. The Japanese version of the figure is available to order on you favorite import site but for those who can wait the figure should be released in America in early January.

One of the several action poses that you can do with Servo using his accessories.
Stay tuned for our reviews on the limited edition of Zone of the Enders Hd collection an the highly anticipated Assassins Creed 3.
