New TV on DVD for the week.

This week on TV on DVD I talk about 2 show that have season that came out this week. I know that the internet is ridden with GTA 5. I know my staff here is playing that game so hard that they are losing time on almost everything an I must say that I love it. But there is only so much GTA 5 that we can post so here is some TV on DVD.

Up first is The Mentalist Season 5. The Mentalist was a show created in 2008 it is the story of a man who consults for the FBI helping them with cases an things like that I am not very familiar with the show but this week the 5th season Arrived on DVD.

The set comes with all 22 episodes over the course of 5 discs.

The set also comes with multiple bonus features.

  • The Artistry of Action: From Script to Screen - Bruno Heller and Chris Long introduce the people planning and the prudence that goes into filming every stunt in the show.
  • Arresting Excitement: Keeping it real with the CBI- Tim Kang and Owain Yeoman are put through their paces by stunt coordinator Kevin Derr.
It is a great series and a great addition to anyones collection.

The next show that was released this week was a personal favorite of mine Arrow.

The show is based on the character Green Arrow an was a CW hit in Fall 2012 an I must say it is an amazing show. It follows the exploits of Oliver Queen and how he went from a being a billionaire playboy to being a Arrow shooting superhero.

The first season of the series was released on blu-ray and Dvd. The Dvd ser has all 23 episodes over 5 discs and bonus footage. Unlike its DVD counter part the Blu-ray version of the set comes with 9 discs I know weird but that is cause it comes with the dvd version of the first season and a digital copy.

Both sets though come with multiple bonus features.

  • Arrow Comes Alive: Is a small documentary about how the series was brought to fruition with nods to the DC character.
  • Arrow Fight School: From expertly choreographed fights to stunts that give feature films a run for their money. Arrow takes aim to present the best that television can offer.
  • Arrow at Paley fest 2013: Highlights from the Paley Fest 2013 Panel.
  • Deleted scenes
  • Gag Reel.
All in all both of these new seasons on DVD are a great buy for any fan that has missed or wants to rewatch old episodes of the shows.
