Snakebyte™ MinimMote Review

Hello Fellow Geeks, today we will be reviewing Sunflex USA, new Snakebyte™ MinimMote for the Wii. The MiniMote, is Sunflex answer to young children and adults with smaller hands, to fit comfortably in the users and to have a better experience while playing Wii games. As we can see the MiniMote is 25% smaller then its big counterpart.




The MiniMote also supports nunchuck action just like the original wiimote, The overal design feels solid, but please note the MiniMote takes AAA batteries so be sure to pick some up when you buy this mote for your tikes. Other then that the weight to it feels as solid as the original. The button layout is almost the same but due to the small size the 1 and 2 buttons are horizontal and not vertical. i tried couple of games that require the a wiimote to be turned horizontally and the button layout doesn't effect the gaming at all, and runs very smooth. the buttons themselves feel good especially the directional pad. The pad reminds me of the old classic Nintendo feel which feels like home to me.




The B button though is really made for small kids and small adults because when my gigantic hands turning on the
power button it accidentally presses the B Button. Since i tested the MiniMote i haven't had much issues with it except it really is not made for big adults so i had to ask my godson to test out the control. Since my godson is 4 and plays the Wii 24 hours, watching him he loved the controller since it fit his hand very well and believed the controller was personally made for him. the Minimote did come with and wrist strap that attaches on the mote but didn't come with a rubber grip. Maybe it is sold separate, but it would have been a nice touch to include one. Overall, Snakebyte™ MinimMote, delivers the good for younger players. i give this a 9.0 because battery is AAA and if you didn't know that and had only AA in the house that would be an issue (it is not mentioned on the box either) and would be great to have a matching rubber grip to go with the controller.

Tron Legacy Even December 16th BE THERE in NYC

Kinect and Fable 3 the moving review.

November is a very big month for Microsoft and the gaming world. It is the start of holiday shopping and the rush to get the best prices on anything and everything that your kids will want for the holidays. Even with the holidays coming some great was also released in October.

Fable 3 was one of the big titles that came out in October. Everyone has played Fable in some compacity. Fable 3 is much like its predecessors. You are in an open world but playing with a very linear story line. The games begins 50 years after Fable 2 you are the son of the past hero of Albion you are the second younger son. Your brother the current king of albion has corrupt the kingdom and all its people want a revolution. the first half of the game is becoming the ruler the second half of the game you have to decided if you want to help the kingdom for the better or make money and do evil things for the greater good to save albion. In the end Fable 3 is a good game it is not the in depth game that you are expecting if you liked fallout 3 but if you liked fable and fable 2 you will certainly love this game.

November again starts the release of many holiday games and accessories that will have you running and hurting people for the smile of your children. Wii and Ps3 have remotes but Microsoft again being the first released Kinect a motion sensing controller that relies on motions and gestures. When I bought this item I was very skeptical. About wanting to keep it but after playing for a couple of hours. I will say that this is a great controller that will change the way you and your family plays. There is no worry for controllers or batteries all you have to do is move and enjoy. Along with Kinect's release they released a bunch of games that you can only play with Kinect. I havent gotten any of them yet so you are going to have to wait till I do to hear about them.

Star Wars The Forced Unleashed 2..

What can I say about Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2. I know I can say that its predecessor was extremely awesome everything about it was epic from the story to the graphics. I am sorry to say that the same can not be said for the sequel. The sequel is like watching the second trilogy after watching the first. It is mediocre in every way and when it is finished. You cant help but think to your self why did I just do that why did I sit down and play this when I actually can be outside doing something better.. I will say though that the little mimobot extra you get with the game is awesome.. I really enjoy it and am happy that I can add it to my collection.. All in all though if you have sometime to kill before say going to a party or a wedding rent this game and beat it yeah I said it beat it. After that return it and try to get your money back hell even scratch it a little that would do the world some justice. I will say buy it if you really want the mimobot but rent it if you want to kill sometime and braincells. Stay tuned though for my reviews of the long awaited fable 3,fallout new vegas and Rockband 3 along with Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja 2. That and I know much like me you guys cant wait to get your hands on Call of duty blackops when I do get my hands on it though. Dj Hero 2 review.

Last year in the Fall Freestyle Games released a title called Dj Hero this title took everyone by storm. It got great reviews and everyone loved playing it, it was the best party game since Mario Party. Mainly because of the great song list and the simple controls.

It has been a year and Freestyle Games is at it again. With the release of Dj Hero 2. I picked up my copy yesterday and played it for a couple of hours and my first impression of it was Freestyle Games you get me. The game has great music and awesome graphics. There are a few new modes and now if you have a mic a friend can join in and sing at you spin and scratch.. A lot of the new music is very pleasing to the ears except for the few that aren't in my musical taste.

One of the biggest added features is the Empire mode it is sort of like Guitar Hero in the sense that at certain parts of the career you have boss battles with other famous Dj's. To name a few Dj Deadmou5 is in the game and Jazzy Jeff but you are going to have to play to find out who they are.

Dj Hero 2 is a great title for anyone who loved the first and wants a semi deeper game experience. Like the first the music is great and everything flows awesomely I will say that it is not really worth the $60 Dollars so if you want the game I suggest you wait till there is a price drop or you trade in some games to get it..

New Era Bringing Tron Caps for New Movie

Hello Everyone. what a con it was at NYCC2010. New Era Promoted their new Tron Legacy Cap Line by displaying some of it's upcoming gear for the movies Winter release. In promoting the new Disney Tron Movie New Era Stepped up the game by promoting the Tron caps at their Flagship store in Soho.



Looks like there are up to 5 different caps to choose from. Looks Like this new Disney Movie is boosting up its cred by getting New Era in the
picture.




So far from what I can see Tron's marketing is going pretty well. Lets hope the new movie does justice to the franchise. Until next time

Marvel I am in LOVE...

This year at NYC Comic-Con Marvel & Hasbro gave us all a sneak peak at their new toys for the Marvel 3/4ths line. One of the biggest thing to make an appearance is the new giant figures. The 2 that stood out the most to me though were The Sentinel and Dark Galactus. Both are featured in the pictures below. Dark Galactus is the same size as the one currently on the market but the paint job matches the Galactus from the 2007 hit Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Even the Silver Surfer that comes with it is a different color.

The Sentinel will also have 2 different color schemes. During SDCC 2011 they will release the dark Sentinel and soon after during the summer much like Galactus they will release the regular version..


There were other figures being displayed at the Hasbro both they are releasing more of the 8 inch figures some will include Apocalypse, Cable, Deadpool and a host of other figures. They also showcased some of they toys that will comeout during the releases of Thor The Mighty Avenger and Captain America The First Avenger. I am sorry to say though that I was not able to get any pics of those I was too busy pining for The Sentinel.



Last but certainly not least on any level They are releasing new 3/4ths figures one that I am most excited to be seeing is The X-Force ArchAngel. This guy looks awesome and I really was tempted to break the glass and Steal it.

It came, We went, We are all now....

Tired. This years NYC Comic-Con has come and gone but it shall not be forgotten. Much like every the NYC Comic-Con surprises us all by being such a great attraction for geeks and non-geeks alike. There was a lot to do this year. IT started off slow with panels for Robot Chicken and Mad magazine. Then it kicked into full gear with signings and panels from Robert Kirkman and Todd Mcfarlane. Even Frank Miller was there to join in on the festivities.

Like I said in my day 1 post this year Capcom brought Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and my god was it spectacular. Just looking at the start screen featured below in the picture made my eyes tear up. The character selection was very limited but the few that you could play as were unbelievable. A few to name are Deadpool,Dante,Okami,and Viewtiful Joe.


Also making an appearance this year at NYCC was Microsoft's Kinect, I had a very short time with the beta test but from all the features I got to play with at home and the games I got to witness in action at the Con this magnificent system add-on will give Sony's Move a run for it's money. It was so good Cammy and Chun-Li tried it out and well that was just a speechless experience.. I have pics but sad to say I don't have video.


Last but not least one of my favorite artist was at NYC Comic-Con for the second year Andrew Bell. If you don't know him he is the guy who created the Google Android Vinyl toys. He was there selling the Series 1 Android figures and the O-No Sushi vinyl toys. Below are a few pics of Andrew's toys and Andrew at his booth.



This years NYC Comic-con was a huge success. Animefest wasn't lol, stay tuned though for more news on the toys of NYC Comic-Con.

Where would our geeky world be...

Without Mimobot, back in early 2000 everyone was just starting to get their hands on USB flash drives, these little contraptions are a great way to carry information for anytime use. Most were happy with the little gray or black devices but the guys and gals at Mimoco Inc. were not satisfied so in 2005 they released Mimobots. Mimobots are character based USB flash drives. Some characters that have inspired these little guys are from many famous movies and video games. Some of these include, but are not limited to Star Wars, Halo, Hello Kitty, and Tokidoki.

This year at NYCC Mimobots are celebrating their 5 year anniversary. By re-releasing and releasing some new and old Mimobots. Some include Dr. Knowledgeus and his creation Isadore. Stormtrooper Luke Skywalker and Stormtrooper Han Solo. Dr. Knowledgeus is featured in the picture on top and below are Luke and Han.


These guys are so cool they even come with hair caps so that they don't have to be stormtroopers all the time.

I spoke with a very nice rep from Mimoco Inc. At the NYC Comic Con his name was Drew he is featured in the pic below holding the Luke and Han Stormtrooper Mimobots. We talked about some other additions to their product line including but not limited to Yoda, Hoth Luke, Snow Stormtrooper, Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru, Isadore glow in the dark, and my favorite from the snow caves of Hoth the Wampa.

Also being sold at the NYC Comic Con is Lobot who was formally an exclusive Mimobot from the San Diego Comic Con.

So if you are in New York this weekend. I suggest that you make your way to the NYC Comic Con and you hit the Mimobot booth and checkout their large selection of both Mac and Windows friendly Mimobot USB flash drives.

Day 2 was even better..

Day 2 of NYC Comic Con was just awesome. I didn't stay as long as I did on the first day but I still had a great time. I was able to talk with reps from Mimoco about their Mimobot line stay tuned for full coverage on that. Today I also got to spend more time with Marvel vs Capcom 3. My god when that game comes out it is going to be incredible. The character selection was scarce but it was still unforgettable. I also got to take a look at the new figures for the Marvel 3/4th line 2011 has a giant sentinel coming out. Also look forward to the X-force version of ArcAngel. That I am particularly excited for. Day one was awesome..

Hey everyone sorry for the late post but Day 1 of NYCC was awesome. There was so much and I mean so much to do. So many people were there signing book and selling book so far on the first day I will say Cammy you stole my heart while playing Kinetict with Chun Li. No disrespect Chun Li but everything moved in Cammy's suit and it was awesome.. Stay tuned for more from comic con and I know I know no pics are posted but. Wait till Sunday night.. I will post some and they will be awesome..

NEW BEATS BY DRE COMING with Live Show At Best Buy Theater

Monster Cable and Dr. Dre will be throwing a big party to announce new models to the Beats by Dr. Dre product line this Wednesday September 29, 2010 and Everything Geek will be there hands on to represent the new digital trends coming out this year.

Monster Cable is holding a private event to unveil several new headphone products under the Beats by Dr. Dre brand. Dr. Dre will be inhouse to host the event as well as with record mogul Jimmy Lovine and Monster’s Noel Lee.

Details are being kept on the hush hush and it is a private event so we expect to see some serious swag lol. ok ok not headphones but at least some stickers and bags. Sources promise the invitation-only event held at the Best Buy Theater will be a star driven power house of live music and shiny new Beats by Dr. Dre headphones aplenty.

The Beats by Dre line was first introduced in July 2008. Since then, the line has expanded to include models such as the Beats Studio, Beats Solo, Heartbeats (endorsed by Lady Gaga) and, most recently, the Diddy Beats (endorsed by Sean Combs).

On Septermber 29th, we’ll see what Monster’s been hiding up their sleeve as we get our first glimpse of the new headgear. Rumor has it that there may be as many as five new models announced. They’ve done plenty to keep the new kit hush-hush, so we anticipate some interesting products. Stay tuned…we’ll have news and product reviews for these new ‘phones coming the day of the event. hello Fellow Geeks, another game review by yours truely. The sequel to the million-plus selling Dead Rising which was currently an exclusive to CBOX 360 at the time , Dead Rising 2 sees the player take on the role of a Motocross champion Chuck Greene, who has come to Fortune City, America's newest gambling paradise, to compete in this tv show called "Terror is Reality," a game show that does one thing to the contestant is to survive zombie-filled environments for big money prizes at the delight of TV audiences around the globe. What better way to exploit and make money in times of survival lol. Chuck's inspiration for taking part and risking life is his daughter Katey, who since being bitten by a zombie requires a daily dose of Zombrex a medicine that is used to prevent her from turning into one of the living dead. There's no denying that Zombrex works, but since it's the only drug on the market, its the price of a new lung. yes a new lung lol

During his time in Fortune City a zombie outbreak occurs and Chuck must survive the onslaught of the undead for 3 Days. Pitted against two fearsome threats - tens of thousands of zombies and the constant countdown of the clock - while potentially rescuing other survivors of the zombie apocalypse, players must also unravel the greater conspiracy behind the outbreak and as importantly find the Zombrex necessary to stop Katey from joining the ever growing zombie horde. Players will shoot, stab, carve and drive their way through enemies in order to beat the clock and survive 72-hours in the darkly comedic, no holds-barred confines of Fortune City.

Dead Rising may have been the game to start the Zombie killing craze back in 2006, released on the Xbox 360, Capcom sold a ton of copies of this exclusive action adventure/survival horror game on the less than a year old Xbox 360. Deemed a commercial success, Dead Rising pitted protagonist Frank West against hordes of zombies, in what seemed to be a never ending swarm of slowly moving targets that could be dispatched by a wide array of weaponry to be found all around and including your surroundings.

Much of the gameplay in Dead Rising 2 remains the same. Gone is West in the new campaign, replaced with Chuck Greene an ex motocross champ and current Terror is Reality champion, a game show that revolves around the slaughtering of zombies. Much of the mechanics remain the same in DR2 which is not bad it is very familiar with some added stuff of course Greene will fight off zombie hordes while accomplishing specific missions. There seems to be a little more variety in the mission types, but the core time based mechanic remains intact. New to the series is the workshop, where Greene can build customized weaponry such as a nail spiked baseball bat, a paddlesaw, or even the freedom bear by purchasing or earning cards that unlock these combinations. Missions will have you slicing, shooting, smashing, and brawling your way to objectives that are either story moving, or saving trapped humans in the fictional Fortune City. Modeled after Las Vegas, Greene will find himself not only fighting for his survival but for his daughter who requires special medication every 24 hours. Another bit is Coop live play meaning one of your survivors you or your online buddy can control so you can be a bad ass team that you always wanted in the fight against Zombies.

A bit more meaty in the story department Dead Rising 2 is set five years after the events of the original Dead Rising. Having spread across the entire United States the parasite that caused the outbreak in Willamette there are very few unaffected humans in the fictional setting. The game begins with Chuck being a contestant in the Terror is Reality game show, which champions those that slaughter the most zombies in an allotted time period. The story sets off with the competition and shortly thereafter the escape of countless zombies now loose in Fortune City. As the story unfolds we learn of a plot to blame Green for the release of the outbreak in Fortune City, and Greene will also try to clear his name, and find out who is behind the conspiracy.

Overall the game is familiar now modes and new weapon combos are plus but feels a little slow paced kind of like the original so if you don't mind that it is all good but if your use to the left for dead series which is fast pace then this game is not for you. its a good game yes but to pay full price im kind of over the fence. but a good game overall

Thousands of retail stores around the world will host midnight madness events to celebrate the release of Halo Reach the biggest installment yet to date in the video game franchise. At 12:01AM on Tuesday, Sept. 14, millions of fans worldwide will finally be able to play this stunning prequel to one of the most iconic sagas in entertainment and what better place to start this shindig then the Heart of NYC. Times Square. The madness starts in New York City at a marquee launch event at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square. Fans who attend will have the opportunity to be among the first to play Halo Reach before it goes on sale just after midnight on September 14, Of course what else can go orgasmic then wining special Halo-themed prizes, and meeting the creators of the Halo universe and experience a surprise musical performance.

West coast is no stranger to Halo since Bungie Studios is in the area. Microsoft Reveals New 360 Controller is a Transformer

The Guys from Microsoft thought of an idea. why not make another controller that will cost 60.00 Dollars but will have a nifty D Pad that transformers. we will make it more sturdier and more solid. but it does the same thing.... give or take a few dollars. Well this is what i think of the 360 controller as you can see by the image the color buttons are gone and added black in white buttons, also the D pad changes form by turning it. Here is a video of Major Nelson Introducing the new controller. well it does look nice but for the price? i leave that up to you.

This is our 100th Post..

I know it has been a while since Mel and I posted something but trust me the wait was so worth it. This my friends is the 100th post and being that it is our 100th post Mel and I are doing something special. We are holding a contest yes that is right folks a contest. This will be our first ever "Make Us Laugh Contest". All you have to do is leave a comment saying something funny be it a story a joke or a picture. We will look at all the posts and then Mel and I will pick the one we find the funniest. And trust me the prize all in itself will be awesome..

On to other things since we haven't posted in a couple of days lets talk about some of the things that have happened in the geek world lately. First September 7th apple will be holding an event to possibly show off their new models for the Ipod Touch and Ipod Classic. This sounds credible though because apple in known for doing things like this in early September it is sort of the Apple norm.

Second Mafia 2 was released this week. I was a avid fan of Mafia on the xbox so I had to go pick up this game. It is an awesome game the story mode is great and all the guns and driving make it worth while. What I do not like though is being in a sandbox world and not being to able to play with the sand. That is the biggest drawback in this game. So if you are a fan of the GTA series I suggest you dont get this game because of all the plotted courses. Kane and Lynch 2 is also out it came out last week on August 16th and it is not bad much like the first the game is centered around co-op play and multiplayer. I will say do not get this game if you are planning to play it by yourself. You will get bored really quickly and end up trying to sell the game or return it. If you do play online and enjoy getting screamed at by little punks with mics you will love this game and it will be a great fix for Halo till Reach comes out..

It is the end of August and school is starting soon. But with the end of the summer comes the beginning of the gaming holiday first on the list are 2 games that I have been watching since I saw the previews at the videogame awards. Halo Reach is scheduled for release on September 14th. This is going to be the last Halo title from Bungie so expect to be amazed. The second is Star Wars the Force unleashed 2. This title is set to be released October 26th. If you liked the first in the series you are going to love this. With multiple changes and a great new story line to be added to the story ark of Star Wars this is going to be very enjoy able.

This has been a great summer full of releases and new on top comic movies and absolutely not least the Iphone 4. September is rearing it's ugly head so I suggest that you have fun while you can now and enter our contest as soon as you can for a really awesome prize.

Batman Arkham City.

Today in the mail I got my new issue of Gameinformer. And let me tell you this issues was very informative and exciting. The Issues main story is Batman: Arkham City this game is going to be awesome the article opens up with the a short story wrap up. Basically it has been about 2 years since the Arkham asylum incident and Warden Sharp has used the incident to get himself into the Mayoral seat in Gotham. With this power he decided to rearrange arkham and create Arkham City it is basically a city of the coast of Gotham with all of the cities prisoners in it. The biggest rule there is if you try to escape we kill you on sight. Two face is a new inmate to the city and he wants to show that he is top dog so he decided to put Cat Woman on trial and have a public execution. Soon after Batman save Cat Woman and lays a beat down on Two face. The really story unravels apparently The Joker has a plan for Batman and Gotham City one that will end with a bang. I am so preordering this game now I hope the limited edition is going to be as awesome as the first was. Enjoy the screen shots..

It finally is going to happen in 2011...

George Lucas at a V event during the weekend announced to the press that in 2011 the one and only true trilogy will be coming to bluray. Yes thats right folks Star Wars is coming to bluray Lucas has promised that it is going to be amazing but at the same time he can not promise that the first 3 films will look that good. Really though only time will tell nothing has been said yet about release date or single releases but what we do know is that all the movies will be coming out as a whole pack. So how ever they come out all i can really tell you is that it is going to be awesome and I am willing to camp out for it....

Fable limited edition controller...

Fable fans are going to rejoice I know I am. Microsoft in honor of Fable 3 is releasing a limited edition controller for the xbox 360. The controller is modeled after the Albion crown and it looks great in my opinion. The controller will come out on Oct. 5th so you will have enough time to get it before the game hits stores on Oct. 26th. So if you really want this controller and the game I suggest you go pre order it now...
