F3ar Review

If you are looking for a game that will scare the crap out of you fear 3 is not the title for you. If you are looking for a title that will give you a taste of Call of duty mixed with a little left 4 dead this is the game for you. Fear 3 takes place right after the cliffhanger ending of part 2. You once again take the role of Point Man having killed his brother in previous games you are psychically linked to him and have momentary conversations with him through out the game.

The single player for this game is pretty awesome it is something that will be remembered by those who play it. It is filled with enough twists and turns to keep you playing. The graphics are great they are highly detailed and give alot to the imagination. I will say though that the physics are not that great when you shoot something sitting on a table or a shelf it hardly moves. Sometimes the bullets go right through the actual object.

What really makes this game stand out though is the multiplayer. In this Fear game you can play co-op through the whole campaign. One of the players will take the role of point man and the other the ghost form of your brother. they both have there pluses and drawbacks as point man you have super strength and you can slow down time. Since your brother is a ghost he can use psychic powers to blow enemies heads up and pose their bodies. Along with the co-op there is a range of horde type games where you kill wave upon wave of enemy. Last but not least there is a timed multiplayer game where you and temates run through a level as fast as you can while alma is trying to kill you.

All in all Fear 3 is a good game it is a great close to the series. if you dont have time to play the multiplayer you will definetly enjoy the sigle player if you rent it. But in the end I would definetly buy this game you will have loads and loads of fun till MW3 comes out or Gears of War 3..

a medium update..

In the last couple weeks there have been some great releases and some great donts in the gaming world heck in the geek world if you want to get down to it..

First in this update a review of Alice Madness returns. American McGee's Alice came out in 2000 it has been 10 years since its release and it has become sort of a cult classic and a collectors item. Fast forward to 2011 and it's sequel hits the shelves. The first thing I notice about the game is that it comes with a downloadable code for the first game. This isn't unheard of with next generation games. After I popped the game in and saw the the intro I have to saw that this is a astonishing game. the visuals are great and the art is phenomenal. The art is so good that it was taken and bound into an artbook. Which is actually selling like hot cakes on any bookstore site. The second thing I notice is the Audio is also great much like the first game the combination of the music and art really give a dark yet heroic tone to the game and it's heroine. The game isn't too hard depending on what difficulty you set it too. After 5 hours into the game I must say it is awesome. If you are not familiar with Alice I would say rent the game you will enjoy it but i dont think you will feel that it is worth your 65 dollars.. If you are looking for a new game to play something that will give you hours on hours of enjoyment. Something that is not like other games I would say buy this. the one drawback that I have found with this game though is that in order to play the 1st game you have to have xbox live and you need to have the disc in the system..

Some other big nes in the gaming world this week is the news that Robin will be in the new Arkham City game. During the week of E3 Rocksteady revealed that Catwoman will be a chracter in the games story and challenge modes. Unlike Catwoman Robin will only be available in challenge maps. If you want to get you hands on this character you will have to preorder the game from Best Buy but dont worry even if you dont buy or preorder the game from them you will be able to download it as DLC shortly ater the games release.

Stay tuned tom is new comic book day stay tuned to the new releases.

Until Next Time Geeks....

With E3 and WWDC this week who doesnt have time for comics.

This is one of those weeks in comics. I can honestly say that there is nothing that will strike anyones fancy. there are a few good books coming out. A few of the note worthy are reprints of Amazing Spider-Man #655-#659 this is an excellent arc in ASM and helps pave the way for Spider Island.

Along with the movie adaption of Transformers The Darkside of the Moon. After that there are no other big releases. Stay tuned for more E3 coverage and a review of Infamous 2 also dont forget that SDCC is next month so stay tuned all that good stuff..

Until Next Time Geeks..
