Like the pic says is New Comic Book day..

This is another great week for comic books if you are a regular buyer if you are not this is a great week to start.

My first mention of the week is FF #2 this is the second book of the FF run. FF is the story of what happens to the Fantastic Four after losing one of their own; and how the team and their family is coping with the loss( I wont say who it is just in case you haven't read the issue yet.). This is my first mention because it show a lot of promise. There are so many possibilities with this book from tie-ins with Amazing Spider-Man to maybe a new volume of Fantastic Four. So if you have not read it or put it on you pull I recommend that you do.

My second mention of the week is Venom #2 this is the second book to the the newly minted volume of Venom. In this volume of venom the symbiote is no longer used byjust one person it is now in the hands of the US. government and being used by Flash Thompson to run black ops missions. The book is not a Spider-man book so do not get it expecting to see a lot of web slinging and ASM heroics. Get the book though is you are into Venom and love senseless violence and awesome military tech.

Other books to totally lookout for this week are The Walking Dead #84,Amazing Spider-Man #659,and last but not least Deadpool #36. These are some just some of the great books that have come out this week but for a complete list check with your local comic book shop.

3rd Party FansProject Helps Out Japan Relief by offering a Blesser

Transformers 3rd Party Company Fansproject wanted to help the victims of Japan by offering a bit of an incentive when donating. In light of the situation Fansproject setup a donation program for people to donate to Red Cross around the world in support of the Japan disaster relief efforts. So Fansproject is making 1500pcs of “Blesser” ( inverted color “TFX-05 Sidearm” ) for people who donating a minimum of $15.00USD to Red Cross “Japan Earthquake and Tsunami 2011”. well i did and was lucky to get one. the Project was a huge success and total donations was $20,000 dollars.

Basically it is the same TFX-05 Figure Sidearm figure that worked together with the Parallax Protector set, just op piste colors. The figure is a microcon that turns into a gun for your Rodimus Prime Figure which very cool since now i can get Rodimus Prime to Duel wield Sidearm and Blesser.

Blesser also came with its own card. Very nice artwork of the Blesser Character helping the relief effort. Whats great about this is that in the Back of the Card. the human partner that goes with the Blesser figure has the Donators name on it which i think makes this figure more awesome.

The Long awaited Portal 2

Portal came out back in 2007 it was a release as part of Valve's Orange Box. The Orange Box was one of the greatest deals for $60 dollars. It was bundled with half-life 2,episode 2, and Team fortress. Now fast forward 4 years and we now have Portal 2. The game takes place a couple of years where the first left off. You again take the role of the Asian woman you played as in the first game.

Valve has incorporated a lot of new content into this game so instead of being just a add on to a bunch of other games it can now stand on its own. Some of this new content for example is the co-op you can now play with another play on the same console or on live to get thorough the rigorous tests that Apeture has in store.

I will say that the game has it's draw backs not many but they are still there. One of them is no leaderboard support without this there is no competition there is no drive to play and play to beat your friends scores. After that I am really happy with this game and I will say that it is a great addition to anyone's collection or if you dont have time it is a great rent..

A Small update..

I know there hasnt been an update in about a month and I apologize about that. I have just been really busy with school and other things that I havent been able to post anything. I will though give a small review of 2 games that came out in March.

The first is Homefront this is the newest title out from THQ and I have to say that it is a great game. The campaign is alittle on the short side but I will say that like most games like this it is about the multiplayer. You will have lots of fun playing the multiplayer if you need a change of pace from black ops. It is your standard multiplayer choices from team death match to games like capture the flag. The graphics in the game are pretty good it isnt the best but it is up to par with games like Medal of Honor and Call of Duty. I will say that this though is a rent and not a buy. Unless you are looking to play the multiplayer for hours on hours..

The next game is Crysis 2 is the sequel to the 2008 hit crysis. Crysis 2 is an amazing game the campaign is longer then many FPS campaigns and the multiplayer again like the first is great. You can take alot from playing Crysis 2 but the most important to take from this is that this is proof that games like this can be played on the console.. The graphics and audio are beautifully done they immerse you in the game and you can end up playing for hours. Hands down I can easily say that this is a buy even if you havent played the first game this is a great way to introduce yourself to the series and there are plenty of parts in the game that will fill you in on the first..

I know that this is a small very small update. I assure you though stay tuned for my review on Portal 2 due later this month.
